DEsiring his presence

2019 Europe Tour

Desiring His Presence (2019)

Our 2019 concert tour series is entitled “Desiring His Presence”, which includes the works from Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schoenfield, and Halvorson. This program highlights Beethoven and Mendelssohn’s late piano trio, with contemporary repertoire named “Cafe Music” by American composer Schoenfield. Both Beethoven and Mendelssohn composed these works with divine inspiration. We will explore the link between spiritual  inspiration and the compositions. This program welcomes both children and adults to enjoy the story we present.

Von Bonn Nach Wien (2019)

Coming up our Vienna Tour concert highlights Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1820)’s trio works. Our 2019 Vienna tour series is entitled “From Bonn to Vienna”, which includes the early piano trio Op. 1, no. 1 and his last piano trio, Op. 97 “Archduke”. From the earliest opus 1 trios of 1792, written during the time Beethoven was mentored by Haydn and clearly influenced by him, to the late opus 97, “Archduke” trio, with its forward-looking harmonic language and uncommon breadth of form, these compositions offer an insight into the evolution of Beethoven’s style.

“B” with Music (2019)

Coming up our Midwest American Tour at University of Illinois Springfield concert is entitled “B with Music”, highlighting three B composer: Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms. The tour features our new guest clarinetist Jiyeon Choi to present three clarinet trios from different periods of music era.
